Creativity comes through mistake

Why does the pouch have two magnetic buttons? The top one was a mistake so I added the bottom one. This cover up is in fact very useful because it gives the pouch flexibility to carry more or less things without worrying about closure.

Experts are not always right

Sometimes you should follow your heart not experts' advices

According to the research (I cannot remember which research paper I read) Pinterest is no good for creativity as it can undermine our confidence when we see how brilliant others' work is. Hah, I believe those who said things like this do not make things themselves and don't use Pinterest to look for inspiration. They look in from outside and fail to understand the users from within.

Working smart is not cheating

Working smart is not cheating sometimes it just makes your life easier.

I tend to work hard rather than smart most of time, sometimes it gets me nowhere especially at work it only means more work being dumped on me.  

Learning to use stick glue instead of sewing them together not only saving money (using up my thread quickly) but also time (sewing and cutting the thread). 

But hard working is necessary though if you want the job done properly.

Perhaps I should invest in Brother ScanNCut, to save me more time on cutting the fabric! 

Joy is everywhere

We don't need to look too far to find the joy. 

These buttons are just delightful and can put a smile on anyone's face.

Occupation Hazard

Just need to bear in mind the fact that all occupations have their own hazard even craft.


My first time playing with the new toy, and just while I was concentrated on iron out the crease, I put my figure on the metal just like I do when I holding a knife.   Now I know why they put the plastic around the metal part. A painful way to learn my lesson (I did not read the user manual before I started using the iron).

Try something different, you will be surprised

Although things do not always turn out to be what we want them to be, sometimes the unexpected can surprise us.

I was unsure about the colour scheme until I added the red around the patchwork. It was a delightful surprise.

Idea and Reality

There is always a gap between idea and reality and that is life.

The pouch did not turn out to be as expected though it is OK.  It could have been better if I had planned it better. Yes, there is always 'could have been' when looking back.

Lesson learned, move on.
